very tired indeed

this weekend was (almost) all about work, i had a deadline this morning. handed over, phew. now i'm very, very tired, didn't get all that much sleep. to spare you from mindless, sleep-deprivation induced ramblings, i'll just show you a couple of photos i took last year at berlin's first abc-show (art berlin contemporary). the big white thing you see is a monumental hamster-wheel for humans. people were queuing up to have a go. i for my part feel like i'm inside that hamster-wheel often enough as it is... (only joking, i love my work!)

(the blue stack is a piece by thomas rentmeister made from paper tissue packs.)

I like the first photo of your? feet. What do you translate/copyedit? I'm a translator and editor but work in an office, I often wonder if I should go freelance... specially on Mondays!

yes, those feet are mine... :) i'm translating/copy-editing art books, doing a lot of architecture, photography and contemporary art projects. i used to work as editor in an office too, and went freelance some years ago. i think this suits me much better although a bit of security would be nice sometimes. but if i had to decide ... i think i would keep freelancing anyway! ;)

oh, forgot to ask - what kind of books are you working on? fiction/academic/illustrated?

I'm working on English textbooks for children to learn English in Spain. It's for really small children, so there is more pictures than words on the page! I'd definitely like to go freelance at some point, but not just yet.

@ b: sounds good! :) and it was the same for me - there was a time when i knew it was right to take the leap. life's full of surprises anyway...

@ april: danke für die lieben wünsche! ja, ich habe inzwischen ausschlafen können. ich brauchte tatsächlich einfach mal eine kleine kraft-schöpf-pause.

Everybody in the world will face the same situation. What you need to do is don't follow office rules, follow your rules don't be stress and have a happy working, ignore the manager and boss. It doesn't matter what happens.
