sandwich

goldhahn & sampson: cooking class

had a post all ready to go when blogger crashed on me this morning. don't know if i can piece it back together, some of it was saved, it seems. harumph.

anyway, in the meantime, perhaps you could help me out with your favourite sandwich ideas / recipes? i'd love to hear them!

p.s.: this weekend, a very dear friend will be in town and we'll have a big eurovision song contest extravaganza at a&m's house. there's nothing like a good dose of trash, enjoyed with friends! bring on the weird costumes and fire throwers on stage!

++ please note that previous comments are not showing due to a technical glitch. according to blogger they should be restored this weekend. ++

Brie, carrot and ginger chutney. I ate it as a last resort at a not-very-veggie-friendly conference; I was converted. YUM!

Love the above mentioned brie and chutney sandwich; I love avocado, watercress and marmite in grainy bread.

mmh sandwiches. avocado + tahin, roasted almond/hazelnut butter + anything you want (Schokolade ist gut)...also just butter and salt, if the bread is really good.

What a great question! I love hummus, advocado, tomato, spinach, and provolone, muenster, or gouda cheese on a sandwich. Sometimes toasting the bread makes it even yummier.

...I'm partial to slow-roasted sweet potato, goats cheese, red onion and baby spinach too. x

oh! you put this up quite a while ago now - but i have been slow on my blog reading! my favourite sandwich these days is made on a perfect baguette from cereals no. 29 on senefelderstraße [have you tried them maybe already?? amazing, almost as nice as in france!], spread with a little french demi-sel butter, and then very thin slices of italian rosemary ham, fresh mozzerella, arugula, lettuce, and lots of black pepper.
