green

the leaves were green as can be just ten days ago, now they are turning. and falling. still, here's the proof: i saw green, a lot of green, just recently. k and i were sitting under that huge tree that first weekend of october, having lunch at emma am see.

now, i'm a city girl at heart. having grown up fairly close to the city centre, but with a big garden, i always felt like i had the best of both worlds. the only thing i would have wished for was growing fruit and vegetables in the garden. wouldn't it be perfect to pick berries and apples straight from the tree?, i would say to my mum. there was no way of convincing her, though. she had been preserving garden fruits her entire childhood, you see. for her, that idea wasn't exactly romantic.

i'm still dreaming of a garden. one day. soon.

happy corner viewing! more links for corner view via otli and also via jane's spain daily, even though she's on a bit of a break for a while.

i dream of a fruit and vegetable garden too, daily! it should still be possible to find a place to combine both worlds in berlin right?! that's one of the reasons i dream so much about living in that city...

Lovely CV> The leaves look a wonderful green in the first photo. I'd love a larger garden to have space for growing food. Must be lovely to just pick your own dinner or lunch eh.

Your first picture is pure beauty!
Dreaming of a garden? I would be lucky with even only a balcony...until then I visit my parents' garden as often as possible! ;o)

Lucky girl. In the middle of the city with a big garden...both worlds in one.

Too bad you can't come visit my garden . . . we've been spreading a smelly manure compost today! (Yes, these are the realities of country life.) Very few green leaves left; they are brown, gold and red, and falling rapidly to the ground.

I've just planted my spring herbs and lettuces ... more for the love of food than the love of gardening.
