i wish i could start planting my flower pots and i was going to buy some spring plants this week, but it's turned miserably cold again. i'll have to wait a little longer. at least the sun is coming out more often these days.

so here's a little taste of things to come. and some ideas on how to get a little sneak preview of spring at home or lift your spirits in some way. that little garden in a box is so clever, don't you think?

all photos, as always with my flickr favourites, are the work of fellow flickr photographers. click on the caption underneath the mosaic to visit their photo stream, and their flickr profile to find out about their blogs or websites. (hare tricks © Paul Grand)

Great inspiration! Love those shocks...and that little green growing up in the first shot.

wow.....very well put together!! Sorry for my ignorance, but may I please ask how you make collage like this? I tried to do it on flickr but can't seem to find the way. I appreciate if you don't mind giving me some advice. Thanks a lot!! : )

hi there, espoir,

there are different ways of doing it. i use the mosaic maker by bighugelabs.com

i think it's crucial to credit the photographers featured in a mosaic, and bighugelabs offers those clever captions that link back to the photographers' pages. also, you can compose your mosaics from your flickr favourites, from your own stream, from your computer etc.

hope this helps,
kristina

Thank you so much for your kind advice! I couldn't ask for more : ) I also value the credibility of any work, though I just want to start making mosaics for my own photo collection at this point. You were really helpful, and I appreciate it lots. Also, what a wonderful blog with beautiful pictures! Cheers.
