Beautiful photo and colors.
My favorite photographer? Hmm difficult - there are a few. But the pictures of Joey L -http://www.joeyl.com/
fascinate me endlessly.
Hmm, interesting question. In terms of famous photographers I love Ernst Haas, William Eggleston and Sally Mann's b&w portraits are disturbing yet stunning. As for the internet, there does seem to be a bit of a photography hierachy that gets on my nerves a bit to be honest. There are many fantastic, inspiring film shooters on flickr and I also love Jack Radcliffe http://www.jackradcliffe.org/
Sandrine Bonnin http://www.sandrinebonnin.com/
and I am very much enjoying Dottie's journey as she learns and explores the medium of film http://dreamcamera.tumblr.com/
Richard Avedon, the exhibition in Berlin two years ago was so brilliant. Jeff Wall, I love his work when displayed, don't like on books. William Eggleston yes, I send postcards of his works to my friends ;-).
I really like Jurgen Teller, Martin Parr, Ernst Haas.
Elger Esser. I can spend hours in front on his photographs, superb work.
I'll stop for now.
:-)
how beautiful!
this photo is so beautiful.
my greatest inspiration as a photographer (actually a photojournalist) is John Kaplan- he also did a documentary Not As I Pictured that was simply inspired, and very close to my heart on many levels (he is a cancer survivor and has adopted from China). he is world renowned, pulitzer prize winning and i happened to run into him at the local grocery last week and he is perhaps one of the most gracious and humble people i've ever met. and i was a completely star struck red faced fan girl.
for up and comings, i am in love with mary robinson- she is 17 and has been shooting film only for about a year and her work is disturbing, ground breaking, and haunting and beautiful. here is a link to her site: http://maryvrobinson.blogspot.com
and i would track back through all her photos, it's so worth it. talent this young with so little experience is going places :)
Photographers? Oh, I like so many. The first one who popped into my mind was Laura Letinsky. http://www.wipnyc.org/blog/laura-letinsky
