when i heard what theme natsumi had chosen for this week's corner view (find more corner view links over at jane's spain daily) i wasn't sure if i even had much white, or what to photograph if i didn't find anything. so i went to have a look through my archive, which was quite interesting. there's definitely not much white around - i seem to be drawn to stronger or darker, muted colours lately. i wonder why. it's not a conscious thing.
here's what i found then (including some almost-whites): cherry trees in my neighbourhood, their pale, pale pink petals looking almost white in that overexposed shot - one of my absolute favourites, perhaps because it's from the first ever roll i took with my praktica. then impressions from venice, early this summer - bed, and then breakfast at the hotel. followed by santa maria della salute, angel detail, and an espresso maker at the scandinavian pavilion at the venice biennial. finally, a modern architectural concrete detail, spotted right next to the opulent russian embassy in berlin.
no interesting thoughts or stories this time, i'm afraid - my brain seems to be producing mostly white noise. a lot, an awful lot to do until the weekend. and the text i'm working on is all-consuming. have a good day!

Don't be so cruel with yourself... it's a good choice, nice pictures (you know how i love architectural details !). Have a beautiful day ! Bises
these are all wonderful. thanks kristina!
the over-exposed cherry blossoms and the angel-clouds are my absolute favourites. beautiful.
I think white noise not only counts for this week's theme, but probably takes over and overrules any other white we can show here, ha ha! well done & cheers.
these are gorgeous! I like the first photo and the photos of architectural details a lot!
Lovely pictures !
I love them !
I was the same! I couldn't really find any white photos! Ironic, considering my name means white in Spanish! :) But your selection really works, it's very relaxing...
Wow ! I love your whites ! That first photo I find particularly amazing !!
ps ... how did you get your followers to be long and spread out like that along the bottom of your blog ??
I love your whites ... without any word they tell a story ...

i just knew you would have the most beautiful photos. you might not be drawn to it, but you really do know how to notice it when it's prettiest and most stunning.

dear all, i'm really quite touched by all your lovely comments - thank you so much. your are too good to me...
.... all of your choices for white are so calming and peaceful. I'm enjoying this week's CV!
p.s.: bonnie - it's the overall layout, i think. i'm using the minima stretch and simply dragged and pulled the followers section to the bottom of the template. easy-peasy... :)
These are so serene. I feel calmer just looking at them. Thanks for sharing!
