in the woods

i spent a few days with my mother, quiet days with many a walk. the landscape is taking its time turning into spring. little signs everywhere. the palette still muted.

thank you so much for your thoughts on pinterest, tumblr and everything related. i really enjoyed that exchange, and it really helped me get things clearer in my mind.

i have decided to keep my pinterest, using it in a way i consider fairly. if you'd like to follow the little brainstorm we had about this, take a look at the comments to this post.

one thing i found particularly helpful of late, is a little tool that aids finding the sources of images, and by that means crediting the author. take a look.

well, today is a gorgeous sunny day that started so well, i'm all in a very good mood - have a good one yourself!

it was a quiet hour in the afternoon when i took these portraits of my friend gabriele. more details over here.

the end of winter

we are at the end of the season, winter is tired, the grass is dried up, so much looks silvery-bleached. i saw it on my last walk along the edges of the big lake, and i saw it on a train trip the other day. in my planters, some tiny green tips are starting to show. no way of telling yet whether they are the bulbs i planted or simply some daredevil weeds.

p.s.: i'm thinking much about pinterest and tumblr, and whether to delete my accounts. for all the known reasons. are you thinking about this too? if so, i'd love to hear, please feel free to send me a message at twinklestar at gmx dot net, i feel as if i'm a bit stuck with my own reasoning.

see how the light dances?

yesterday, i finally went to the dentist (after four years, if not longer). a major panic inducer from childhood onwards. happily, it wasn't as bad as i feared. then i headed to the galeries lafayette (yes, we've got them in berlin, so lucky), and bought a very posh chocolate spread with even posher nuts for an obscene amount of money (well, relatively speaking).

this is the beginning

starting this day off with listening to boy's 'this is the beginning' and breakfast on the sofa. the sun is out, it feels like spring is just around the corner!
